Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is HTP defining the breakdown for POC in your list of asks/demands?

We are looking for a diversity breakdown based on people’s EEOC/DOL identification.

Q: How does HTP want the breakdown for positions?

We are looking for diversity data on W2 employees only. Additionally your numbers should not include operational staff (i.e., IT, HR, Finance). For the breakdown we are looking for it across gender, race, and seniority (i.e., junior level, mid-level, senior level, and executive leadership/c-suite.)

Q: How is HTP defining junior level, mid-level, senior level, etc.

Junior level = Account Coordinator/AAE/AE
Mid level = SAE/Senior Strategist/Account Supervisor/Account Manager
Senior level = Director/Group Director/ MAS (Omnicom Agencies)/VP
Executive Leadership/CSuite = SVP, President, Managing Partner, CEO

Q: We are unable to meet some of the demands listed in your letter and website. How should we proceed?

The list of demands are recommendations on how to proceed with your action plan, to robustly advance diversity across talent, vendors, and media at your agency. While you may not be able to meet or exceed all of the demands in year one, the hope is that this can serve as a guideline as you continue this work. Diversity work is and will be ongoing to achieve true equity.
